Face-to-Face Meetings -- Partners or Strategy:
Cadence Design, Valent USA, Intercontinental Hotel Group and Network Appliance held multiple face-to-face meetings, in which they used GroupMind to build a sense of two-way partnership and closer alignment between company leadership and key stakeholders who are critical to the success of their enterprise.These meetings involve a large group (usually from 50 - 300) to discuss their key issues at their tables and enter these into their GroupMind computer. Each individual then votes for their top choices from the combined list of critical challenges; results are viewed on a large screen and summarized by an executive. High scoring items are seen by all, discussed and referred to a task group.
Using repeated interaction, the group develops a shared sense of urgency, and the sponsoring organization gets focused feedback and heightened expectations from their partners.
